Kibiru Muthaka is an investment professional with expertise in leadership and strategy, deal origination and execution, fundraising and structuring, and valuations and portfolio management.

As Founding Partner of Alpha Review (2012–2019), he built a leading East African provider of CFA® Exam review courses, applied finance training and corporate consulting, serving County Governments in Kenya, blue-chip companies and investment funds.
Earlier, Kibiru worked in private equity at TransCentury PLC — investing across power, transport and specialized engineering in Sub-Saharan Africa — and at the Capital Markets Authority of Kenya. He began his career with Ferris Baker Watts Inc. in Maryland, USA, a member of the New York Stock Exchange, and holds a BSc in Finance from Towson University, attended on a scholarship earned at The Alliance High School.
